Otherwise as others have mentioned the subscription is the way to go.Īs for which subscription to get on that note: That said, if you plan on only doing JS and not messing with other languages or dialects like Kotlin (WS handles TypeScript perfectly fine although IntelliJ has a few generic niceties that are missing in WS) then I’d say it’s worth it. They say that IntelliJ fully supports the WebStorm plugins but I’ve noticed a few are either out of date or have compatibility issues, particularly around linters.
I’ve been using it less and less, only because they’ve made great progress in making the plugins that make WebStorm work fully compatible with IntelliJ.
