I use Cyclops here in Winnipeg, and it identifies all the red light/speed camera locations properly. “Safety camera updates link your device to the Cyclops™ database, which is maintained daily and contains information about various safety cameras, such as fixed, average speed, mobile, variable, temporary/roadwork, red light and red light speed cameras.” Garmin states the data base is maintained DAILY.Īccording to Garmin’s statement which I once believed, here is what they claim. They don't update every week, but maybe every other.hope that helps. only alert if you were traveling the direction that the single or double cam was looking, and not alert for the 2 directions cams were not looking. There have been times that I felt that Cyclops could indicate/alert in the direction of the cam, when it wasn't 4-way, i.e. My sneaking suspicion is it's easy to add to POI, but difficult to have people contact POI to remove. In those cases I would look, and see no RLC anywhere. But there were many times there was only a traffic signal, i.e. Since I had a traffic signal icon for POI, and the cyclops has a red square icon, my 2350 can indicate which is alerting. Would you please cite some examples, please. This is counter to everything I have read on this site. But they raised the price and I decided not to renew. I had both and found Garmin to be more accurate.
